TravelDistro, a business-to-business travel API marketplace, today introduced a single consolidated platform that enables travel agencies to purchase tickets, tours, transfers, car rental, eSIM and hotel inventory throughout Türkiye using a single API agreement.

TravelDistro operates as an API-first travel distribution platform: one API key and one prepaid balance link agencies to 33 API partners spanning six product verticals and nine destinations within Türkiye. The platform currently handles roughly 38,000 quote requests daily and serves approximately 60,000 passengers annually.
Traditional travel agencies connect a separate system for each product line, negotiate individual contracts and reconcile multiple balances. TravelDistro replaces that fragmentation with a single credential, one wallet and a uniform, consistent contract covering all six verticals.

"Travel distribution works better as infrastructure," said Alper Tekin, founder of TravelDistro. "We built the marketplace we always wanted as operators — one integration that behaves like a modern payments API instead of six brittle connections."

The platform supports multi-currency pricing and settlement in Turkish Lira, US Dollar, Euro and British Pound, with API content and support available in English, Turkish, Persian and Spanish. Every request is signed using HMAC-SHA256 and can be safely retried through idempotency keys, so network failures never lead to double bookings.

Instead of returning opaque server errors, TravelDistro provides catalogued, machine-readable error codes along with human-readable explanations and retry hints — a "zero 500s by design" approach borrowed from modern financial APIs.

TravelDistro is built by a team with hands-on tourism operations across İstanbul, Edirne and Dubai, covering tour operations, software, data and media companies. The team also publishes peer-reviewed research on travel distribution, DMC economics and inbound markets in Türkiye.
Travel agencies and developers can explore the OpenAPI reference and test against simulated inventory using sandbox keys before going live.
