Every campus establishes its unique graduation criteria, and each certificate is endorsed by a field specialist.
Over the coming years, we’ll see a flood of AI certificates. The critical question for any employer remains: who actually verified the work?”— Mark BerringerMIAMI, FL, UNITED STATES, September 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — New Era Learning LLC, the company behind The Real World, revealed today that its online education platform has now granted over 800 Campus Graduation Certificates.
Graduation certificates are still being awarded across all campuses as students fulfill their graduation criteria. The requirements have remained unchanged since this credential was launched, and the evaluation process for submissions has also stayed the same.
"Reaching 800 came without altering any part of our review process," stated Mark Berringer, spokesperson for New Era Learning. "Each certificate was issued only after a coach personally reviewed the submission and attached their own name to it. That’s something we refuse to sacrifice just to boost the count."
The Graduation Process
Graduation involves both campus examinations and submitted projects. Students take assessments that test their knowledge of the campus curriculum and then turn in their work for evaluation. A campus expert subsequently reviews the entire record and either grants the certificate or sends the submission back for improvements. Those who don’t meet the standard are informed of the deficiencies and may resubmit. Each campus establishes benchmarks tailored to its specific field, and a verifiable result in AI automation is not the same as one in ecommerce or client acquisition.
This credential, referred to internally as Tier II Clearance, includes a verification link that can be shared publicly by members with external employers and clients. It also grants access to Specialist status within the TRW Marketplace, the platform’s internal contract marketplace, where certified members can compete for paid assignments from other members, with funds held in escrow until the work receives approval.
The cost of certification is covered by the $99 monthly membership fee. There is no additional charge for certification, unlike many prominent programs that impose extra credentialing fees beyond course tuition.
Industry Landscape
This strategy contrasts with a market that is increasingly focused on volume. OpenAI has pledged to certify 10 million Americans by 2030, and the proportion of candidates seeking AI and machine learning credentials increased from 17% in 2022 to 35% in 2024, based on Gartner research cited by Computerworld. A 2026 DataCamp survey, carried out with YouGov among over 500 enterprise leaders in the US and UK, revealed that 82% of organizations currently provide AI training, yet 59% continue to experience an AI skills shortage.
Future Outlook
New Era Learning stated that its review model will remain unchanged as the number of certificates increases. With AI credentialing expanding industry-wide, the company is betting that certificates bearing a specific reviewer’s name will retain value that mass-produced credentials will lose.
