A seasoned operator with a strong track record of overseeing hospital portfolios covering multiple states, Armentrout has successfully led financial turnarounds, driven major expansion projects, and consistently achieved strong financial results in both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. His career includes senior executive roles at Acadia Healthcare, Universal Health Services (UHS), Culpeper Regional Hospital, Sunnyside Presbyterian Communities, and several critical access hospitals.
A Strategic Leader for Sobrius’ Growth
While at Acadia Healthcare, Armentrout served as regional CFO for 15 behavioral health hospitals across five states, overseeing financial operations, budgeting, and reporting while meeting tight five-day close cycles. Before that, he was Regional CFO for UHS, where he supported 12 behavioral health hospitals and managed financial operations through multiple CEO changes and electronic medical record conversions.
His career further encompasses major capital projects, mergers and acquisitions, Medicare program rollouts, and financial leadership during facility startups and closures—experience that directly aligns with Sobrius’ plans to continue expanding throughout Virginia.
