Seven decades after its founding, the New York Festivals Advertising Awards is once again calling for entries — this time with a landmark anniversary, an expanded partnership with the 4A's, and a pricing break aimed squarely at smaller shops.
The strength of New York Festivals has always been rooted in the caliber of our international juries and their commitment to recognizing exceptional creative work”— Scott Rose, President, NYF Advertising Awards CompetitionsNEW YORK, NEW YORK , NY, UNITED STATES, October 30, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — New York Festivals Advertising Awards® (NYF) has officially opened its 2027 competition, a cycle that coincides with the organization's 70th anniversary and a full seven decades of honoring standout creativity across the globe.
The awards have been woven into advertising's changing creative landscape since 1957, consistently recognizing the ideas, people, and boundary-pushing work that have left a lasting mark on the industry from one generation to the next.
“Throughout its history, NYF has recognized campaigns that transcend their original moment. More than award-winning advertising, these are creative milestones that have challenged conventions, shifted perspectives, influenced culture, and inspired generations of creative talent worldwide.” Ellen Smyth, CEO, New York Festivals
With this milestone year now underway, the Advertising Awards competition remains focused on celebrating work that pushes creative limits and mirrors how brands are forging new connections with audiences in a rapidly shifting media environment.
“The strength of New York Festivals has always been rooted in the caliber of our international juries and their commitment to recognizing exceptional creative work,” said Scott Rose, President, New York Festivals Advertising Competitions. “As we celebrate our 70th anniversary, our continued partnership with the 4A’s reinforces our commitment to meaningful industry collaboration, bringing together leading creative voices to recognize excellence while creating new opportunities for the next generation of talent.”
4A's Partnership
NYF is building on its existing relationship with the 4A's (American Association of Advertising Agencies), carrying forward its expanded in-person judging format that gathers senior industry figures for a collaborative and thoughtful review of the most compelling creative work being produced today.
That alliance underscores a mutual dedication to creative quality, deeper industry involvement, and making sure standout ideas get acknowledged by their own peers.
Creativity Meets Generative AI
NYF Advertising and the 4A's are also bringing back their GenJam series, created in partnership with Machine Cinema, which pits human inventiveness against emerging technology in a live, fast-moving creative contest.
With Higgsfield serving as the AI platform partner for the two most recent editions, GenJam gives agency teams the chance to experiment with generative AI, turning a creative brief into original ad concepts and executions within a tight window of time.
The 70th anniversary celebration will also get support from FOUNDERS, an independent global creative agency that is developing the 2027 Advertising Awards campaign, scheduled to launch in January.
Small Agency. Big Ideas. Greater Opportunity
In a nod to the outsized role that independent and smaller agencies play in fueling creative innovation, New York Festivals Advertising Awards is rolling out special entry pricing for those shops: a discounted fee of $395 for agencies with fewer than 50 employees, available across all 2027 competition categories.
Smaller agencies often make up for their size with agility, direct access to senior creative talent, and the ability to pivot quickly as client needs evolve — proving time and again that great ideas aren't measured by headcount. The new pricing is meant to make international creative recognition more attainable for agencies of every size.
The 2027 New York Festivals Advertising Awards are now accepting entries. Agencies, brands, and creatives around the world are encouraged to submit their most inventive and impactful work, adding to seven decades of industry-shaping ideas and extending a legacy of creativity that fuels what comes next.
Entries for the 2027 NYF Advertising Awards must be submitted by May 2027.

**Why it matters:** As the ad industry wrestles with generative AI and the consolidation of creative power among a few giant holding companies, NYF’s 70th anniversary push signals a deliberate effort to keep recognition accessible to independent shops while positioning AI collaboration as a core part of the craft’s future. The discounted entry fee for smaller agencies could broaden the pool of who gets to define what “best work” means in the year ahead.
