Following a joint effort between Caterpillar Inc. and InspectNTrack, Smart Safety Pro from InspectNTrack is now being implemented at Caterpillar facilities throughout Illinois and Texas
By partnering with Smart Safety Pro, Caterpillar has gained the ability to manage employee workflows.
After several months of coordination between Health and Safety Coordinators at Caterpillar Inc. and the InspectNTrack team, Smart Safety Pro by InspectNTrack is finally being deployed at Caterpillar sites in Illinois and Texas.
With more than 600 active projects, Caterpillar required a system that confirms not only that work is finished, but also that safety is taken into account during execution. Initially, Caterpillar’s Health and Safety Coordinators attempted to use paper-based methods for these checks; however, those methods turned out to be not just ineffective but actually a barrier to achieving the company’s safety targets.
While Smart Safety Pro provides a wide range of advantages to its clients, the primary attraction for Caterpillar was its capacity to enforce workflows. Today, because Smart Safety Pro’s software is tailored to their requirements, Caterpillar employees at every level of the organization are experiencing significant benefits. Administrators gain confidence that tasks are performed in the proper sequence and that safety tracking compliance is upheld, since the software can automate specific task prerequisites for various user groups. Moreover, because Caterpillar requires certain user groups to complete safety training before performing some tasks, Smart Safety Pro delivers that training to end users at any time, from any location via its mobile app.
