King launched a modest legal practice in Rancho Cucamonga that has evolved into a family-operated personal injury firm with three attorneys.
Now, Justin works alongside his siblings, Jonathan L. King and Oliver P. King. “I want to grow; I want to serve more people,” Justin King said in an anniversary interview. “However, I never want to lose that personal touch.”
That approach goes back to the practice’s beginnings. When King opened the office in August 2016, he operated out of a single-room subleased space with a laptop and two chairs for visitors. Calls to the office were forwarded directly to his mobile phone, and he managed nearly every task himself.
One of King’s earliest potential clients reached out following a car accident. His first son had been born the day before, yet King left the hospital and drove to a McDonald’s in Upland to meet a person who had been in what he describes as a fairly minor rear-end collision.
“I was out on my own and I had to hustle,” King recalled. “I felt like I had to do everything I could to ensure that my new endeavor was successful.”
Car and motor-vehicle accidents remain a significant part of the firm’s work a decade later, while The Law Offices of Justin H. King noted that this experience gave him insight into how injury claims may be assessed from the defense perspective, including how information flows between defense counsel and insurance companies and how an insurer’s evaluation may change as evidence emerges and a case moves toward trial.

The firm’s automobile-insurance litigation has also included the pending matter Cobos, et al. v. National General Insurance Company, et al., San Bernardino County Superior Court Case No. CIVDS1914609, which was the subject of California Court of Appeal Case No. G063086.
According to the published Court of Appeal opinion, the plaintiffs allege that National General Insurance Company and Integon National Insurance Company improperly denied automobile accident claims and rescinded insurance policies. The Court of Appeal reversed an earlier order denying class certification and remanded the matter for further proceedings.
According to an April 2026 class-certification order entered by the San Bernardino County Superior Court, the court granted class certification and designated attorneys Justin King and Jonathan King of The Law Offices of Justin H. King as Class Counsel. The case remains pending. According to the court-authorized class notice, defendants deny the allegations and dispute liability. Trial is currently scheduled for March 1, 2027.
Three Brothers, Different Backgrounds, One Personal Injury Team:
The firm’s growth took another step when Justin’s brothers joined the practice.
Jonathan L. King’s background includes complex commercial litigation and extensive courtroom experience. His current firm biography reports that he has litigated 17 jury trials and more than 40 bench trials to verdict.
Oliver P. King’s work includes personal injury, mass torts, class actions, and other complex plaintiff-side litigation. He has also served as an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor, representing professional athletes in contract negotiations.

Following John Lewis King’s death, members of the regional legal community established the John Lewis King Memorial Scholarship Fund to assist Inland Empire law students.
