Space Force Association Opens Nominations for 2026 Spacepower Excellence Awards

The Space Force Association (SFA) is now accepting nominations for its 2026 awards in Innovation, Education, Media, and Human Exploration.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, UNITED STATES, September 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Space Force Association (SFA) is calling for nominations for its 2026 awards in Innovation, Education, Media, and Human Exploration. These honors, together with the Spacepower Excellence Awards that recognize top United States Space Force Guardians, celebrate individuals and organizations across diverse fields who are shaping the future of spacepower.

Categories open for public nomination in 2026 include:
• Innovation, Engineering and Space Technology Award
• Leadership in Education Award
• Journalism, Literature, Media, and the Arts Award

“Each year, the SFA is proud to pay tribute to the trailblazers whose vision, leadership, and innovation are accelerating the advancement of human progress and our space capabilities,” said Mark Dreiling, Awards Committee Chair. “We encourage leaders, peers, and colleagues to nominate individuals and teams whose work is making a lasting impact in the space domain.”

Since 2024, SFA has presented awards to 32 individuals, including civilians, Guardians and Reservists, along with 11 companies, nonprofits and chapters.

Award recipients will be celebrated at the Spacepower Excellence Awards Gala, which is part of the 4th annual Spacepower Conference, taking place December 8-10, 2026, at the Hilton Orlando.
