QILEE Group has officially launched the QL-SWTP 900K Series Integrated Surface Water Treatment System, a complete processing unit capable of turning heavily turbid and chemically diverse river or lake water directly into premium industrial process water or potable municipal water.

With a total daily treatment capacity of 900,000 cubic meters, the QL-SWTP 900K integrates pre-treatment, gravity clarification, and advanced nanofiltration (NF) within a single, automated platform. This system is designed for large-scale municipal water supply initiatives, water treatment facilities for massive industrial parks, river basin quality improvement efforts, and pre-treatment stages for brackish water desalination in saline-alkali areas.

Technical Architecture and Performance

The QL-SWTP 900K functions through a continuous, fully automated process that relies on three distinct treatment stages:

  • Zone 1: Pre-treatment: This first stage uses dual-powered rotary drum screens to deliver a filtration precision of 20 to 100 micrometers. An integrated, intelligent PAC/PAM proportional dosing system supports this zone to optimize chemical usage.
  • Zone 2: Gravity Clarification: Built for minimal operating expenses, this zone operates on a zero-energy gravity-flow principle, consuming no electricity. Each module handles 50,000 cubic meters per hour, eliminating over 95 percent of suspended solids (SS) through natural settling.
  • Zone 3B: Advanced Treatment: The final stage incorporates a large-scale nanofiltration (NF) skid capable of processing 300,000 cubic meters per day per unit. This step ensures robust removal of total organic carbon (TOC), color, and multivalent ions. The NF system delivers consistent, high-quality water output regardless of seasonal variations in raw river water quality.

Production, Deployment, and Automation

During the research and design phase, QILEE engineers refine the system’s sedimentation units using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. Every skid-mounted component is standardized, fabricated, and treated with specialized anti-corrosion coatings at QILEE’s digital factory. Prior to shipment, all equipment undergoes complete Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to guarantee immediate plug-and-play functionality at the project location.

The modular, skid-mounted design enables fast setup, cutting on-site installation time by roughly 60 percent compared to conventional concrete water treatment plants. For operations, the system supports fully automated PLC/DCS remote control and allows operators to access real-time water quality data via mobile devices.

Target Markets and Field Validation

The QL-SWTP 900K Series is primarily aimed at municipal water utility groups, EPC contractors, large steel and chemical manufacturing facilities, and environmental engineering firms. Key geographic regions include large coastal industrial zones, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East—with a focus on major EPC infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The automated and energy-efficient design has already proven itself in the field. A project manager overseeing an overseas municipal water supply project remarked: “QILEE’s gravity system has performed exceptionally well in remote areas. It not only saved significant electricity costs but also solved the challenge of limited local maintenance personnel through its fully automated design.”
