NitroTranslate, the human-driven translation platform from Alconost, is the first professional human translation service to take payments initiated by agents via the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP). This newly established open standard allows autonomous AI agents to pay for individual service requests without needing conventional account registration.

What this means
AI made people more efficient. Then came agents built to act on their behalf — a virtual second set of hands that reads, writes, and conducts research. The next phase is agents that can independently purchase services.
That’s where progress previously stalled: requesting professional translation meant the agent had to pass the task to a person who would create an account, produce an API key, and add funds. With MPP integration, the agent handles the entire transaction solo — and the translation itself still comes from professional native-speaking linguists.

How the system works
1. The agent submits a translation request to the NitroTranslate API — no authentication required.
2. The API replies with HTTP 402 Payment Required plus a payment challenge. In this setup, 402 isn’t an error — it signals the payment step.
3. The agent gets a payment credential from any MPP-compatible provider and repeats the same request. One credential covers exactly one request, meaning no stored keys exist to leak, rotate, or overcharge.
4. The order enters production immediately. The agent checks the order status and receives a reviewed, publication-ready translation — typically within 2–24 hours.
Native-speaking professionals handle translations across 80+ languages, with markup — including HTML, JSON, XML, and iOS strings — kept intact. No plans, minimums, or pre-funding exist: agents pay on a per-request basis.
