National Academy of Athletics opens Austin North youth sports franchise in Williamson County

A new youth sports franchise is setting up shop in Williamson County, bringing structured athletic programming to thousands of families across five growing Texas communities.

LEANDER, TX, UNITED STATES, October 13, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The National Academy of Athletics (NAofA) has officially opened its newest franchise, Austin North, which will serve families throughout Williamson County. The expansion brings professional, well-organized youth sports offerings to Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, Hutto and neighboring areas.

At the center of this launch is the 22 Yards facility in Leander, which will operate as the indoor headquarters for the Austin North franchise. While the venue was originally built for indoor cricket, it has since grown to host a variety of sports. To meet that growing demand, 22 Yards has partnered with NAofA to deliver additional youth programming, giving local parents and children more chances to stay active, pick up new abilities, and sample different athletic disciplines.

This partnership pairs a well-established indoor venue with NAofA’s teaching philosophy, which centers on fun, skill-building and self-assurance. With a permanent indoor base, the franchise can offer steady, reliable programming and give kids a place to play no matter what the Texas weather throws at them.

Working alongside 22 Yards and through partnerships with municipalities, school districts and local organizations, NAofA will host camps, clinics and after-school sessions designed for children ages 3–14. The programs are open to everyone, whether a child is trying sports for the first time or an experienced young athlete hoping to sharpen their skills.

“I couldn’t be more excited to bring NAofA programs to Leander and communities throughout Williamson County,” said Aaron Locks, CEO and Founder of the National Academy of Athletics. “Our focus is building strong partnerships with cities, schools and community organizations to give more kids access to quality youth sports.”

The benefits of these programs extend well beyond the playing field. Through instruction tailored to each age group and plenty of active play, participants learn teamwork, communication and persistence while also growing their confidence. The aim is to foster an inclusive atmosphere where children feel comfortable trying new activities, forming friendships and developing a lifelong appreciation for exercise.

The Austin North franchise will use 22 Yards as its central hub for indoor activities while continuing to broaden its reach across the surrounding communities. Details on program schedules, enrollment and future partnership announcements will be released as they are finalized.

Why it matters: This expansion signals a growing trend of specialized youth sports franchises moving into suburban Texas markets, where demand for organized athletics continues to climb. By securing an indoor venue from day one, NAofA ensures that its programs won’t be sidelined by weather, giving families a dependable option for keeping kids active year-round.
