One set of discs covers an entire order, and processing typically takes about seven days from when the tapes arrive.
USB functions differently. Every video from a single order is placed onto one memory stick as standard computer files, ready to access on a laptop, smart TV, tablet, or phone, and simple to copy or back up without requiring any specialised software. The company states this is why an increasing number of clients now request a memory stick instead of a disc.
Cloud backup stores the completed files online behind a private access link, allowing them to be viewed or downloaded from any location. Access lasts for one year and can be extended, which the company says is ideal for families who want to share footage among themselves.
Approximately 95 per cent of tapes yield good picture quality, and over 99 per cent transfer successfully regardless of the condition they arrive in.
All VHS to digital conversion is performed at the company's North Yorkshire facility, and original tapes are sent back together with the new files.
