Fresh data indicates that small enterprises are fueling nearshore hiring expansion, leveraging the area to obtain skilled professionals they would otherwise be unable to afford.

Hire With Near, a recruiting and staffing agency that assists American businesses in hiring remote workers in Latin America, has published midyear hiring figures indicating that smaller companies represent the most rapidly expanding portion of nearshore hiring across the region.

Based on the company’s placement records for the initial six months of 2026, over 50% of all hires were made by organizations with 50 or fewer staff members. The most rapidly expanding category was businesses employing 26 to 50 individuals, where placements increased by more than 70% compared to the preceding half-year. Total placements climbed 31% during that timeframe and 67% year-over-year.

The figures indicate that small enterprises are recruiting for expansion and are hiring at higher levels. Among the ten most frequently placed roles in the first half of 2026, four were sales positions, accountant moved up to the second spot, and the proportion of managerial-level placements roughly doubled over six months. These are the types of hires that generate revenue — sales representatives, finance heads, and team leaders — at a level of experience that a company with just a few dozen employees typically cannot afford within its domestic market. Latin American salary ranges generally fall 30–70% lower than their U.S. counterparts for identical positions, making senior-level candidates accessible to small-business budgets.

Clients echo this trend in their public testimonials. "Hire with Near helped me source and hire a great candidate in a week and is easy to work with. This new hire is key for our revenue growth," noted Max P. in a five-star G2 review dated March 2026. A second reviewer, Josh B., commented in April 2026: "I appreciate their cost-effectiveness, offering highly qualified candidates at a much lower entry point than hiring equivalent candidates in the US."

"The fastest-growing group of companies we work with has 26 to 50 employees," stated Hayden Cohen, Chief Executive Officer of Hire With Near. "At that size every hire has to count. Latin America lets a 30-person company bring in a senior salesperson or an experienced finance lead — the caliber of person that would normally be out of reach at their budget — and have them working within weeks. That is the difference between growing this year and growing eventually."

Hire With Near’s own performance underscores the very trend it is highlighting. The company was ranked 118th on the 2026 Inc. 5000, Inc.’s yearly compilation of America’s fastest-growing private firms — placing it in the top 2.4% of the list — following earlier achievements of No. 3 in the Southwest on the 2026 Inc. Regionals and No. 14 on the Clutch 100. The organization has worked with over 950 clients, developed a pipeline of more than 160,000 pre-screened candidates, and maintains a 4.9 G2 rating alongside a 97% placement success rate.
