Individual shoppers, wedding coordinators, charity fundraisers, and corporate festive gatherings are fueling demand as the 2026 Christmas card season approaches

WASHINGTON, DC, DC, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Anthem Stamps has reported a 64% increase in sales versus the same period last year, driven by rising demand from everyday buyers along with wedding planners, event coordinators, nonprofits, and companies preparing for seasonal festivities.

Direct-to-consumer retail sales account for the bulk of this growth, as customers choose postage not just for mailing but for the decorative appeal stamps can bring to cards, invitations, and special mailings.

Additional revenue is flowing from wedding planners, nonprofit galas, event organizers, and businesses getting ready for Halloween, Christmas, New Year’s, and other seasonal occasions**.

“A stamp is a tiny element on an envelope, yet it can play a key role in the overall presentation,” said Anthem Pleasant of Anthem Stamps. “We particularly enjoy partnering with wedding planners to choose stamps that match the colors and character of an invitation suite. Then we look forward to seeing the final design come together.”

Seasonal Postage Opens New Avenues

Anthem Stamps’ Halloween lineup includes designs like Spooky Silhouettes and the earlier Jack-o’-Lanterns issue. USPS first released Spooky Silhouettes in 2019, featuring four designs with bats, ghosts, a spider, and other Halloween motifs rendered as silhouettes on colorful backdrops.

Christmas offerings include Holiday Delights, a 2020 Forever stamp collection with nostalgic holiday scenes, as well as Sparkling Holidays, the USPS Christmas stamps that showcase classic Santa Claus paintings by Haddon Sundblom, originally created for Coca-Cola advertising from the 1940s through the early 1960s.

These older issues give customers the chance to pick postage that fits the theme, color scheme, or mood of a holiday card instead of simply using the newest stamp available.

2026 Christmas Card Season Begins to Take Form

Anthem Stamps is also building inventory as focus shifts toward the 2026 Christmas card mailing season.

The timing is important. USPS has already announced several 2026 seasonal releases, including the Global Winter Wreath stamp on September 18, Christmas Cookies on September 19, and a traditional Madonna and Child Christmas stamp set for October 2. ([USPS][3])

Physical greeting cards remain a strong U.S. tradition. Greeting Card Association figures, cited by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, show that American consumers buy roughly 6.5 billion greeting cards each year, including about 1.5 billion Christmas cards. ([U.S. Chamber of Commerce][4])

For Anthem Stamps, this creates a chance to help both individuals and organizations think about postage earlier in the creative workflow.

“Christmas cards are often chosen or designed with care, and the envelope should be part of that experience,” Pleasant said. “We have been stocking up with the upcoming mailing season in mind. Whether someone wants traditional Christmas imagery, nostalgic Santa stamps, colorful holiday designs, or something unexpected, Anthem Stamps has inventory ready for the season.”

Beyond Christmas Cards

The company’s expanding customer base reflects a wider use of curated postage.

Wedding professionals can coordinate stamps with invitation colors and themes. Nonprofits can add distinctive postage to gala invitations and donor letters. Event planners can pick designs that reinforce a party’s theme. Businesses preparing Halloween parties, Christmas gatherings, and New Year celebrations can add a visual element before an invitation is even opened.

For individual customers, the same idea can turn birthday cards, announcements, invitations, and personal letters into something more memorable.

As Anthem Stamps heads into the final months of 2026 with sales 64% ahead of the same period last year, the company plans to keep expanding its selection for both everyday retail shoppers and the growing professional event market.
