A four-decade track record and a flat-fee model helped a Dublin, Ohio, financial advisory firm earn a spot on a prestigious national ranking for the first time. PDS Planning’s debut on CNBC’s 2026 Financial Advisor 100 list puts it among the top advisory firms in the country, based on criteria that go beyond just how much money a firm manages.

Since its founding in 1985, PDS Planning has built its practice around a comprehensive approach that examines how every component of a client’s financial life interacts, spanning investments, taxes, estate planning, and family objectives. The firm’s roster of seasoned financial advisors and planners brings deep expertise across retirement planning, investment management, tax strategy, and long-term wealth management.

DUBLIN, OH, UNITED STATES, October 22, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — PDS Planning has been named to the 2026 CNBC Financial Advisor 100 list, debuting at No. 66 on the annual ranking of financial advisory firms across the country.
The CNBC Financial Advisor 100 ranking is built on a combination of data analysis and editorial review, with criteria that include regulatory and compliance history, how long a firm has been in business, the number of employees and investment advisers, assets and accounts under management, and how many states a firm is registered in. Notably, firms do not pay to be included in the ranking.
For this year’s list, PDS was recognized with 41 years in business, $2.2 billion in assets under management, and 614 accounts.
“Forty-one years is a long time to keep showing up for clients, but longevity only matters if you continue to earn their trust,” said Jamie Menges, CFP®, CPA, President and Shareholder of PDS Planning. “We’re proud to be recognized alongside firms from across the country. What makes this especially meaningful to us is that CNBC looks at more than size. Its methodology considers a firm’s history, compliance record, team, and reach. Those are all things we have worked to build thoughtfully over time.”
Since its inception in 1985, PDS Planning has expanded while staying committed to comprehensive financial planning and lasting client relationships. The firm integrates financial planning with investment management, helping clients see how the various pieces of their financial lives fit together. Rather than charging a percentage of assets under management, PDS operates on a flat-dollar fee structure.
“For us, this recognition is less about a number on a list and more about what has been built over four decades,” Menges added. “We inherited a strong foundation, and our responsibility is to keep improving it for our clients and for the next generation of PDS.”
CNBC published the 2026 Financial Advisor 100 on October 8, 2026. The network emphasizes that firms do not pay to be considered or included, and that placement on the list does not constitute an endorsement of any individual firm or advisor.
