Paradise Medspa’s Dr. Weiss unveils two upcoming neuromodulators poised to transform toxin market

Botulinum toxin type E and a ready-to-use, extended-duration Galderma product herald a new era of customizable neuromodulator therapies

PHOENIX, AZ, UNITED STATES, October 2, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Dr. Rebecca Weiss, DO, a board‑certified physician and medical director at Paradise Medspa, is offering patients and industry colleagues an early look at two neuromodulator treatments currently advancing through FDA review — innovations she believes could reshape how aesthetic professionals deliver wrinkle-relaxing procedures in the coming years.

Dr. Weiss shared this information during the latest edition of “Thirsty Thursday With Dr. Weiss,” an informal, educational video series in which she examines recent developments in aesthetic medicine directly from the Paradise Medspa clinic in Phoenix, Arizona.

A Rapid-Onset, Short-Duration Option: Bont E

The first candidate, called Bont E (Botulinum toxin type E), is being produced by the manufacturer of Botox and represents a shift from the type A botulinum toxin formulas that currently dominate the market. According to Dr. Weiss, Bont E cleaves the SNAP‑25 protein at a different site than type A toxins, resulting in visible aesthetic effects within 8–24 hours — substantially faster than existing products.
However, the tradeoff is duration: effects are expected to last roughly two weeks. Dr. Weiss suggests this profile could make Bont E ideal for:

Quick touch‑ups between full treatment cycles

Patients needing fast‑acting results

First‑time neuromodulator patients seeking a low‑commitment “preview” before opting for longer‑lasting therapies

A Pre‑Mixed, Long‑Lasting Formulation: Relfydess

The second product, referred to in early reports as Relfydess, is being developed by Galderma, the company behind Dysport. Unlike traditional freeze‑dried toxins that require reconstitution, Relfydess will arrive pre‑mixed in solution — a manufacturing advancement Dr. Weiss notes could enhance consistency across practices and providers.

Clinical data cited by Dr. Weiss in the episode indicates Relfydess takes effect within a couple of days and may deliver results lasting up to six months in some patients, positioning it as a potential long‑duration alternative to options like Daxxify.

Both Products Still Awaiting FDA Clearance

Dr. Weiss noted that both manufacturers received requests from the FDA for additional data before proceeding to market, a standard part of the regulatory process. She anticipates the products may become available as early as 2027, pending final approval.

“I think I’m not concerned really about the safety of either of these two products,” said Dr. Weiss. “I do think that there was a reason the FDA was asking for additional information just related to the manufacturing process… once they can prove that they’ve gone through all of those checks and balances, then hopefully this product is going to be released to market.”

Rethinking Reconstitution Practices
